Carolyn Angelin wants a quiet life – a husband, couple of kids, a house in the ’burbs, and a dog.

Is that too much to ask?

When Carolyn finds herself pregnant, she and her husband, Martin, are excited at the prospect of a playmate for their first son, James. But they get more than they bargain for with not one, not two, but three baby boys – triplets!

The triplets prove to be dynamos from Day One. Their unruly behaviour gains momentum as they grow, and each day poses new challenges for Carolyn and Martin as they attempt to raise four boys under the age of two years old.

Suspecting something is not quite right after the triplets are expelled from playgroup, Carolyn searches for answers. Is there something wrong with the boys, or is she just a bad mother?

Carolyn’s journey takes her to the depths of despair and, ultimately, a major meltdown. She emerges to the discovery that her triplets suffer from ADHD.

ADHD to the Power of Three is a compelling and poignant tale of a mother’s triumph over adversity as her children’s condition threatens to derail her family. It is also a story of hope for anyone who’s ever felt that ‘life is just too hard.’

  3. Hello Carolyn, I am disapointed that I am unable to attend the book launch due to a baptism with overseas friends. However, I can’t wait to read your book. You are an amazing lady!

God’s Blessings on the launch and spreading your wisdom and encouragement to others who struggle with similar issues.

  4. How lovely………………now i want to read the whole book.

  5. It is hard to imagine what the two of have been through over the recent years. As a father of six kids who are mostly grown up now I can honestly say that you both are increasable people and at the same time have the greatest gift in life in bringing up the boys. God has and will go to bless all of you and may all of the good forces in the universe come together to help you at ll times, guide you and protect you and support you everyday. Your life experiences and continual courage is not only an inspiration to many other parents but also to every man and woman on this planet of ours. Rest assured that your boys are already destined to have a good life because they are blessed with very special mum and dad. Every day is a good day and you are making it so.

  7. Hey Carolyn, received the ‘autographed’ book yesterday, many thanks. Already half way through it, could not put it down. Let’s just say it will be finished by the weekend. Love your ‘tell it like it is’ approach, had me both laughing and crying (though more laughing than crying). Well done, you should be so proud.

  8. Dear Carolyn and family,
My sister rang me this morning to tell to watch you on Tv this morning. I’m a single mum with a soon to be 13yr old girl who has ADHD, and a 10 yr old girl. Life at the moment is a living hell she started high school this year and with hormonal change going on as well as ADHD life is really really hard. I can only imagine how your daily struggle is. You comment about “feeling like a bad mum” is how I feel daily. I know deep down I’m not. Thank you so much for writing this book , I will be buying and look forward to reading it. Again thank you for insight and a look inside other families lives living with ADHD.

  9. Hello Carolyn,
What an inspiration you are!! Congratulations on the book and your survival. I can still remember the phone calls between us all those years ago, comparing our ‘active boys’. You have done a great job since then!!!
    Love Jenny

  10. Hi Jillian, Firstly, thanks for your kind comments. I certainly know how you feel. I think the worst part was feeling like a failure as a mother as I searched for answers. I would be happy to chat if you like. Hang in there. Do you have a good doctor/peadiatrician? What treatment is your daughter getting? Look forward to talking to you.
    Carolyn

  11. Hi Jenny, Thanks! Yes, I do remember the ‘desperate’ phone calls to you for help. Would love to catch up with what’s going on in your family now.
    Carolyn xx

  12. Hi Jen, Thanks for that. Can’t wait to come up and stay with you. Carolyn xx

  13. Carolyn congratulations – I am just thrilled for you and Martin and the boys. If this book can do something to avert the judgements that we all tend to make, too hastily, about what seem to be unruly children, then your efforts are surely worth it – and there are many many other benefits besides. Can’t wait to read it.
